How To Earn All The Medals

    While playing Mohaa, you should already be aware that you can earn medals.  For each one of the six missions, if you manage to complete a given task, you'll be awarded a medal.  And, for finishing the game, you are automatically awarded a medal.  Since there are three difficulty modes available, you can earn up to three more medals.  So, the total of medals available are nine.

    This site covers, in detail, how to earn each one of the six first medals.  In the main page, on the left pane, you can see the names of the medals under their corresponding sub-mission pages.  You can also jump to any medal page by using the top menu, option "Medals Awarded".   In a short description, here is how to earn all the medals:

Medal Name Mission/
Difficulty
Ref. Task
The Legion of Merit M1 1 Rescue the american POW
Norwegian War Cross With Sword M2 2 Grab the manifest inside the U-boat
American Campaign Medal M3 3 Survive to Omaha landing
The Good Conduct Medal M4 4 Destroy two King Tiger tanks
Distinguished Service Medal M5 5 Keep the three-men tank crew alive
Army Commendation Medal M6 6 Disembark with just up to four casualties
Bronze Medal Easy 7 Finish the game
Silver Medal Medium 8 Finish the game
Distinguished Service Cross Hard 9 Finish the game

    If you accomplish to earn all the nine medals, your medal case will look like pic 1.  The numbers below each medal slot correspond to the "Ref." column, on the table.  You won't find these numbers in your real medal case; they were introduced in pic 1 just to make knowing the medals easier.

    It's important to know that the medal is not awarded at the very moment you complete its corresponding task, but only when you finish the mission.  You get a confirmation that you earned a new medal with the Mission Statistics page since there will be a "Medal Awarded" message on it (pic. 2).

    Sometimes, when you replay some parts of the game, you'll notice that you'll lose all your medals.  It's a bug that I've read it was corrected with the patches already available for the game.  But, if suddenly your medal case gets empty, you have two options to regain them.  Replay the whole game (an obvious but lengthy solution) or replay only the final part of the last sub-mission of the mission.  The second solution assumes that you have saved a game just before the end of each mission.  I personally always save a game at the end of each level (at least!).

    A third solution is to cheat.  It's the easiest one, of course.  Using Windows Explorer, go to your Mohaa installation folder and look for the "main" folder.  Inside this folder, there is a sub-folder named "configs".  Inside this sub-folder, there must have a file named unnamedsoldier.cfg.  First, make a backup of this file so, if anything goes wrong, just recover it from the backup.  Now, open this file in a text editor - like Wordpad (since this file may use some non-standard characters, Notepad may not be adequate) - and copy these lines, in blue, to it (preferably after the Cvars header, as shown, in light gray):

//
// Cvars
//

seta g eogmedal2 "1"
seta g_medal5 "1"
seta g_medal3 "1"
seta g_medal0 "1"
seta g eogmedal3 "1"
seta g_medal1 "1"
seta g_medal2 "1"
seta g_medal4 "1"
seta g eogmedal1 "1"
seta g_medal6 "1"
seta g eogmedal4 "1"
seta g eogmedal0 "1"
seta g_m6l1 "1"

    If you already have any of these lines in your .cfg file, overwrite it.  Don't mind the "generated by moh:aa do not modify" message at the top of the unnamedsoldier.cfg file.  Save and close the .cfg file.  Start the game and take a look at your medal case.  All the nine medals should be there.  There are nine medals but you have pasted 13 lines into the .cfg file: don't ask me why so many lines for just nine medals; I don't know the answer and I've never spent some time testing if deleting some lines can have no consequences.  I just know that it works.

    Since I replay a lot, I'm always losing my medals.  And since I have already earned them all without using any cheat codes at all (through the 'natural' way, I'd say), I don't mind cheating to get them back.  Actually, I never played the game using other difficulty modes than the hard one, so, frankly speaking, I wouldn't deserve the bronze and silver medals.

  Hope It Helped !!
