         Welcome to my personal web site.  This page brings you the program Converter SPERO, meant to be used by MetaStock® users.  If you have the program MetaStock version 6.52 and superior, from Equis International, and if you want to be able to analyze the brazilian stock market, specifically the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange - Bovespa - securities, then you need a program that can convert the Bovespa BDI file into an ASCII Text format file that The Downloader™ can understand and make the final convertion to the MetaStock format.  This ASCII Text format file is generated by the Converter SPERO; its layout is described in The Downloader's help file under the related topic.  The BDI, or Dayly Information Bulletin, is an unformatted file distributed freely by the official Bovespa site and it holds all the quotations of the securities traded on Bovespa on a certain date.  Note, again, that the Converter SPERO does need the program The Downloader to make the final convertion to the MetaStock format so, if you do not have it, SPERO may not be useful to you at all.

          Since the Converter SPERO is mostly of interest to the brazilian audience, there is no english help available on how to use it; the User's Manual and all other pages, on this site, have no english version available.  I apologize for this inconvenience but, please, feel free to email me - andre@viol.net - if you have any doubts or comments to share, or if you want further english information.
